I was offered the dead sea kit,and had to pay only postage as I was told that it was a trial. I received a box with three pots of cream, day, night, and eye. There were no instructions, no paperwork enclosed, no return address. When I receives my credit card statement, I noted that they had taken £97, and not the three pounds that I had expected. It was listed as "Defyageing.com" and there was a telephone number following on the statement. I have tried, a number of times to call the number, but it is a recorded message saying that all operatives are busy with other clients. I have instructed my card company that this is a scam and that I did not authorise them to take this amount that no more monies are to be paid.

I sent for the trial kit for facial creams as postage was £3.95 and then they also took out another £97.95. They will not answer emails although they say they answer them within 24 hours. I want my money back. I notified my bank immediately but all they can do is stop any future payments to this company. Am not happy with Facebook advertising it. This company needs closing as I have noticed there are many complaints, what does one have to do to get this to happen? Surely someone has an idea how to get this sorted and get our money back, does no one care?

BEWARE OF THIS SCAM

My advises to anyone who had fell for this DEAD SEA BEAUTY KIT scam : 1. Cancel you credit card RIGHT AWAY 2. Keep a copy of any messages your write to the company : support@***.com and write them that you want to cancel your order 3. Advise your bank NOT TO ALLOW anymore payments from this company 4. Don't bother sending back the samples to Israel. You will have to pay for the high expedition cost and they will still want to take money from your credit card. If it's canceled and your bank is advised about this, everything should be ok. 5. Keep looking at your credit card withdraws to make sure they don't take anymore money from you.

Apparently, even if we cancel our credit card, they can still bill us for the first amount of money (149.95$ here in Canada). I sent lots of very angry emails to this fu%%$?ing company and they finally answered me that : "We are sorry we couln't cancel your order, our system is automated and we can't cancel it blablabla."

They provided me an adress here in Canada to send back the samples :

Canada:

Precision Total Fulfillment

As I really don't agree to pay again for the shipping and handling, I won't open it and return it provided that the item has not been opened and no labels have been removed. I will bring the item to any Post Office and state that I want the item returned to sender.

I am so angry with them, that company is soo full of ***.

Hope this help

Rip off - complete ***.

Filled out my trial for £2.95 - TODAY DISCOVERED that £97.95 taken from my account. Checked site again , once you type in your details, they ask you to confirm. This skips the lower pages to say they will take £ 97.95 from your account, unless you return the goods to Isreal.- read everyone else experiences. Bank helpfull - but not for this first payment, been in touch with credit card fraud, trading standards ect - we will get these Bastards if we stick together. This advert was so wrong and so misleading. Do not be ashamed like me to be caught out.

The offer popped up on my PC - can't remember from where it came. Anyway it seemed good enough to try so I went for it.

Stupidly I then went back to quiz the small print and of course the T&C and Customer Support tabs don't work. I am cautious about purchases on the internet and only ever pay by credit card, which I see as protection. The charge has gone through and my bank tell me they will put through a request that no further charges are made so I have to check my a/c daily. But will their request be ignored?

Did anyone else notice that you have to return the samples UNUSED (to Isreal) .... might be tricky to sample them if I don't use them (though reading other posts on here that would be a massive mistake).

Am anxious that they will get away with this as they won't be covered by our laws. Even if I were to return them they would probably claim they didn't receive the goods .... they've got my card details and am bothered about owning up to my stupidity to other people

Poor you! I know how you feel as the same thing has happened to my face.

I got free trial Eye gel/moisture/night cream - at a shipping cost only £3.95. My under eye area was really swollen for 3 days and both eyes are very wrinkled and leathery in texture now.

They advertised this product as being for all types of skin. I phoned my bank and they have told me that because I have warned them of the potential extra Debit card SCAM!

They will be able to get me a refund if this company do try to take funds out, also, if you manage monitor your account online and check every day if that Dead Sea have just taken money out of your account, you can block it before 12:00 noon. Please check this with your bank.

Good luck to all!

Fraudulent and Mis-leading Dea Sea Beauty

Updated by user Jun 24, 2013

June 2013

Update: I successfully went after the company and maybe didn't get all my money back but got 3/4 of my money back. It has cost me a bank account and alot of grief as I no longer partake in things like this.

I of course immediately blocked them from my bank and had them watch for them as well. I flooded their "contact us" link - got a different person each time too :) and went out and found as many links to the product as I could and started emailing them my story. I ended up emailing all around the world but hey....it also let on that I was onto their scam.

If you've used your credit card....get them after them too. You may not get all your money back, but something is better than nothing.

Good luck and not sure if you can contact me through here but I'm open to any questions anyone might have....

Original review May 24, 2013
I was sent a link for a "free sample" you just pay shipping and handling of $3.99 and the beauty products are yours to try! So I did. I received FULL SIZED samples. I thought this odd, but ok. I then found site after site of complaints, so I looked into the product more. I then found out that I had to return the product, I now had three days to do so, and that I'd be auto charged the full amount, $149.95. So I emailed them to let them know I just found out about that, and as soon as I could, I don't work due to health issues and live 20/30 mins out of town on a farm and don't drive...so it took two weeks for a rebate cheque to come in and for me to send it back. I thought all was good....then was shocked to see that $94.95 came out of my account unauthorized..... I have contacted them repeatedly through the site as that is the only email that seems to work. Emails from the company have a script/macro embedded on them and my emails came back to me, from me to me....imagine that....then a search on the company lead me to another site that I left a complaint on....and have a totally different consultant in another part of the world appalled at the business practices over here of these people. All information from them has been incorrect and fraudulent. One website states: The charge will appear on your statement as Deadseakit.com 800717****. The site I ordered from states: The charge will appear on your statement as Deadseabeautykit.com 800948****. Original order confirmation email states: This charge will appear on your statement as Deadseabeautykit.com 800948****. My bank statement states: antiagelink.com 314113****10 for $94.95 DSea – DSM*dseabeautyk 308******** for $9.95 NOT $3.99 as advertised on the site I ordered from. So people please be warned....they are a money scam place and I doubt very much any of the products is from the Dead Sea. To me it was just cheap cold cream and facial moisturizers.

What UK residents can do.

These Dead Sea Products are a total Scam. Apply for a "Chargeback" refund from your Bank urgently - most people get one - and ask them to issue a new card. Complain to Advertising Standards Authority - they are still in breach of an upheld complaint: Ref A12-20**** of 28 Nov 2012. Complain to the UK supplier for DS Marketing "The Fulfilment Store" in Rugby, UK, on 0178854****. Complain to Citizens Advice Bureau on 08454 04****. Complain to Action Fraud on 0300 123 ****. Complain to your local Trading Standards Office. All of these organisations can be emailed if you want to save money on the phone calls. The goods supplied are in breach of The Cosmetic Products (Safety) Regulations 2008. Because... They do not have an ingredients list on the product or in the packaging and there is no leaflet supplied. There is no manufacturers address. There is no batch number present on any of the three items, and there is no expiry date. You should therefore consider them to be unsafe to use.

Well I feel totally *** for being taken in by such a ***. My Bank have put a stop on any approaches fromthem for money from my account. I have also phoned the UK Suppliers and have their address and arranged to post the stuff to them. I sent an emailto Deadsea and they offered ne the goods for £54 what don't they understand when you tell them The goods supplied are in breach of The Cosmetic Products (Safety) Regulations 2008. Because... They do not have an ingredients list on the product or in the packaging and there is no leaflet supplied.

There is no manufacturers address.

There is no batch number present on any of the three items, and there is no expiry date. You should therefore consider them to be unsafe to use.

Thanks for your help, wouldnt have known what to do without this site.

Thanks for the advice but I cannot get a chargeback refund because I haven't returned the products due to health reasons (hospitalisation, fighting for my life etc). Please everyone return the products as soon as you get them.

Anyway I'm not done yet, you're right there's no batch no, manufacturer's address, they're not fit to put on human, animal or alien skin, which you can tell by the smell...Aaaiiieeeeehhhhh!!! Gonna keep going.

I paid for what I thought was postage charges only for a Beauty Kit sample from Dead Sea Kit on 7/2/2013. The charge was €7.95 which was what I agreed to pay to try the product. However, I never received an email acknowledgment from this company and thought the transaction did not go through! But about a week letter a package arrived by post with the 3 samples (day cream, night cream and eye cream). I started using the night cream and was fairly impresse and thought that I probably would purchase this product in the future. However, on the 10/3/13 when I checked by credit card account on line I was horrified to see that €109.95 had been debited from my account withtout my permission or knowledge from this Company. I intend to phone my credit card company and cancel this transaction if I can! I am flabergasted that this has happened to me as I am normally very diligent and careful. This is unbelievable but I will not let this go, that is a promise I am making to myself! I do not like been scammed or conned. Catherine Surant

Fraudster robbed me out of $156

I was using an internet TV and by completing a survey I was getting a free gift and I only supposed to pay for shipping of $5.95. After I pay for the shipping charge I get this auto email that reads " ''Your credit card ending 6893 has been charged $5.95 for shipping and handling. We are certain you will be amazed with the natural Dead Sea powers of our Beauty Kit during your two week evaluation period. If you are not 100% satisfied for whatever reason, simply send the trial kit back to us and you will not be billed further.'' Well after one month later my visa was charged $149. I haven't used the kit it's still in the box but they refused to return my money. I totally got scammed by them. What I don't understand is the credit company don't protect us and let these crooks continue to steal money from innocent people. After reading these complaint I guess I will treat my credit card more carefully. One costly lesson. Well look at it on the bright side may this kit will make me look 10 years younger.... NOT

Why did the scam me using free gift after completing a survey?

and that they send me the email after the shipping transaction?

are they going to refund my shipping charges?

TOS scam innocent unaware people and why don't they refund the money if product is unused? TOS is a crook who robs money. They do not refund money no matter what.

Guest

Clear as day right on their site, and had you sent it back, you would never had been charged. You said you didn't use it and it's still in the box - instead of letting it sit, you should have returned it within the time specified.

This is YOUR fault for not following the TOS.

y buying this Special Discount Offer Kit, you will pay only for shipping and handling upon placing the order and will then have 14 days (after processing and delivery time) to try our products and return them if you are not 100% satisfied. If you choose to keep the kit, you will be charged the full cost of $149.95.

Deadsea beauty kit is a SCAM

Updated by user Apr 14, 2013

They are the dead sea alright. I never got a response them.

I Called the c.c. and I got my money back! Tell your c.c.

if they know where they are wiring the money then they know how to get in touch with them. Stay away they're a scam.

Original review Mar 14, 2013
Through Facebook, I paid for shipping and handling of a free sample. As it turned out they never gave any sign of life after they took the money. I called chase and they stopped my card and referred the issue to their dispute resolution and got me reimbursed. They only way you know it is a scam is after you are duped. The web is the only place where people can get together to stop them. Their website is a facade; the phone #s are out of service and they never returned my emails. Avoid the headache don't purchase, company =SCAM!

Dead Sea beauty kit is a rip off, supposed to be a free trial but you are not expected to try the product but return it unopened unless you want to be charged £97.95. also as well as the postage charge an added charge was taken of £3.95 no explanation.

I eventually got a refund of £63.00 but the free trial cost me more than £40.00. Beware

Product bad skin reaction complaint hiding small print

My mum signed up for this it looked reputable affiliated with Elle Company lots more endorsements, it said you only pay postage and handling , she didn't think anything of it but when she tried the products she was in agony her face swelled her eyes she could hardly see, she knew something wasn't right, she went onto the site and saw the £97.95 taken in 2 weeks hidden in the small print, this was on a Saturday she couldn't do anything till Monday ie make sure they can't take money, and the fact that she could hardly see anyway because of the product, has anyone tested the ingredients, it makes me shudder, I can't believe they're getting away with it I spent all day and night hammering my complaint over social media blogs as much as possible and I was so happy to find you guys

Hello, Dead Sea offered free trail offer on Facebook said pay shipping and you get a free trial. They didn't mention that if you don't return the product within 2 weeks they charge your credit card $149.99. Well, I have been emailiing them all day, didn't open it because been too busy with health problems and my computer hacking...so I am within the 30 days, which they said they will inspect the bottles, i replied no problem...i will also be taken pictures of the bottles unopened.....anyways, off f/b now too many scammers and hackers...so i don't care about the money they have charged but their practice...i have let them know what they are doing is misleading and i will return unopened, they must be desperate for customers to be misleading people.......

Hello, Just to update anyone concerned with being ripped off. Fortunately, I hadn't opened it and it was before the 30 days.

They were quite rude, but tried to offer me $50.00 to keep the product, I said it has not been opened and you falsely advertised on f/b if you don't return my full refund which i am entitled to I will report you. They were snickering on the phone and said ok send it back and we will inspect the bottles and make sure they were not opened. I said no problem I will also take pictures of the unopened bottles, and if you do not refund me I will report you because it is wrong with what you are doing. So I sent it back registered and got my credit card refunded.

It took a lot of persistence, but was happy that I had it resolved. Do not appreciate companies scamming people.
